To strengthen the safety of women and girl students staying in hostels and paying guest (PG) accommodations, the Hyderabad City Police has launched 'Project Safe Stay', making registration of all women's hostels and PGs with the local police mandatory. The initiative was launched jointly by Hyderabad Police Commissioner Shri VC Sajjanar and GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan at the TGICCC Auditorium, Banjara Hills.
Certification program for the 1 batch of Margadarshaks was held on 13 June 2026. The first cohort witnessed an encouraging response from the community. Over 80 participants completed the prescribed training modules and successfully earned their Margadarshak certification.
